We reserve the right to remove links that are being used / created in such a way that can be / is construed as abuse of the Internet and/or the 1 Short Link service. If you believe a URL is being used in such a manner, please contact
abuse_no_spam_please_@i_mean_it.no_spam_whatsoever.1sl.net with the URL.
Duration -
It is our intention to have the links in our database be available for as long as we offer the service, which we intend to do as long as we have a machine connected to the Internet.
Privacy -
We will not be publishing a list of the links that we have shortened via our service, though it's possible to manually step through the database to get a list of real URL's.
URL Length -
Initially the URL's generated by 1 Short Link will be 17 characters long, but as time goes by, the length will increase. If you pass a URL that is shorter than that, we don't mind and will, in that case, make it longer. :)
Uniqueness -
The same URL can be shorttened multiple times, and each time a unique URL will be provided.
Base URL -
If you use the 1 Short Link service to generated a one short link for a URL such as http://www.cpan.org/modules/by-category/07_Database_Interfaces/ and were given http://1sl.net/11a2f4ba as the short link, you are able to use http://1sl.net/11a2f4ba/Mysql to get to http://www.cpan.org/modules/by-category/07_Database_Interfaces/MySQL/
